Welcome to the home page of the Words & Pictures Club! We are glad you are here.

The Words & Pictures Club is an after school enrichment program, offered to fifth graders at the John Hope Elementary School on Friday afternoons. (For information on the school, click on the appropriate button)

Brothers and sisters of club members often drop by as well, and they are welcome to participate..

Goals

Our aims are to help students to improve their writing ability and to master basic computer skills. Participating students get individual attention in planning, organizing, and writing stories. They also have fun by creating take home projects such as greeting cards and calendars, with words they have written and pictures they have chosen.

The Club's Sponsors

Members of the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Atlanta, with some help from their friends, sponsor the Words & Pictures Club. This effort complements the congregation’s long-standing Math Club enrichment program and the congregation’s many other activities at John Hope and in the community it serves.
